Restorative dentistry
Broken, worn, missing or heavily patched teeth restored to full comfort and function, with materials chosen to work naturally with your own smile.
Restorative dentistry is the part of dentistry that repairs and replaces teeth. When a tooth has been weakened by decay, cracked by years of chewing, worn down by grinding or lost altogether, restorative care brings back its strength, its shape and its place in your bite. At Greenwich Dental Studio, that includes tooth-colored fillings, tooth crowns and bridges, and root canal treatment — each one a different answer to how much of the natural tooth is left and what it needs to keep working.
The goal of restorative dentistry is always to keep as much of your own tooth as possible. A small cavity caught early needs only a filling. When more of the tooth is gone, a crown covers and protects what remains. When the nerve inside is inflamed or infected, a root canal lets us save the tooth instead of removing it. And when a tooth cannot be saved, a bridge fills the space so neighboring teeth don't drift and your bite stays balanced.
Most of the restorative work we do at Greenwich Dental Studio began as something small that went unnoticed for a few years — a hairline crack, a filling slowly wearing at its edge, a spot of decay between two teeth. That is why we look closely at every checkup and explain what we see, so you can choose the simplest repair while it is still simple.
Restorative care is also where careful craftsmanship really matters. A crown that sits even slightly high can change the way you chew for years, and a margin left uneven can invite decay underneath it. Dr. Yeterian grew up around his father's dental laboratory, and the ceramic side of this work is where his training shows most. Every restoration is shaped and shaded to match the teeth around it, so the repair works naturally with your smile.
For larger cases, our Greenwich dentists take the time to stage and explain the full treatment plan in writing before anything begins, so you understand the sequence of care, the options available and what to expect at every step. If a tooth has been bothering you, or you have been told you may need a crown or root canal, we welcome you to come in for an honest second look.

Where to start
A bridge anchored to the teeth on either side can fill the space with a fixed, natural-looking replacement, shaped and shaded to match your smile.
Crowns & Bridges rebuild a tooth that a filling can no longer support, and can also replace a missing tooth by bridging the gap between two neighbors.
Tooth-Colored Fillings handle straightforward decay in a material matched to your tooth rather than one that stands out.
That pattern often points to Root Canal Treatment, which relieves the pain and keeps the tooth in place.
Your first appointment
A restorative visit starts with imaging and an honest conversation about what is actually going on, whether that is a cracked cusp, a leaking margin under an old filling, or a tooth that has lost more structure than it can spare. Dr. Yeterian, who grew up around his father's dental laboratory, tends to lead this side of our practice because so much of it comes down to how the ceramic or composite is built and fitted.
Larger cases are not started at the first appointment. We plan them using your own scans, stage them into a clear sequence, and quote each stage in writing so you can see the whole plan, and its cost, before anything is prepared.
Smaller cases, like a single filling, are often completed the same day the decay is found, once you have agreed to the plan.
Who looks after this
Dr. Masis Yeterian Jr. leads restorative dentistry. His background working in his father's dental laboratory shows up in the fit and finish of crowns, bridges and larger reconstructions.
Meet the doctorsQ & A
We are out-of-network and do not bill through any particular plan, but we file claims on your behalf and provide a written estimate before treatment so you know your likely out-of-pocket cost in advance.
We keep room in our schedule for exactly this. Call our office and describe what happened; a cracked or broken tooth is usually seen within a day or two, sooner if you are in pain.
Occasionally, for a molar with deep decay or a chipped front tooth, and we approach it the same way as adult restorative care, starting with imaging, then a plan sized to that tooth.
Largely by how much healthy tooth structure remains. A filling repairs a small area, a crown covers a tooth that can no longer support a filling, and a bridge replaces a tooth that is already gone. We show you the imaging behind that recommendation.
The consultation and any imaging are quoted before you book. Anything beyond that, whether it is a crown, a bridge, or the sequence of a larger case, is priced stage by stage in writing before treatment begins.
